Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know Before You Start Planning. Whether you're planning a destination wedding, honeymoon, or vacation, having the right information from the beginning makes the process easier.
Destination Weddings
Should We Use a Travel Advisor to Book a Destination Wedding?
Absolutely! Planning a destination wedding involves much more than simply booking a resort. There are wedding packages, group contracts, guest travel coordination, room blocks, payment schedules, airport transfers, and countless questions along the way. Working with a destination wedding travel advisor helps make the process much smoother and far less stressful.
How Do You Book a Destination Wedding?
Booking a destination wedding typically starts with choosing: a destination, a resort, a wedding date, and a general guest count and budget. From there, we help couples compare resorts based on wedding venues, pricing, inclusions, and atmosphere. Once a resort is selected, we assist with securing the wedding date and setting up the group bookings.
How much does a destination wedding cost?
The cost can vary significantly depending on the resort, number of guests, wedding package, venue, décor, private events, and extras you choose. Many resorts offer wedding packages ranging from simple celebrations to fully customized events.
How far in advance should you plan a destination wedding?
Ideally, planning should begin about 12–18 months in advance, especially if you have a specific date, resort, or venue in mind. Popular resorts and wedding dates can book much earlier.
What are the best resorts for destination weddings?
Some of the most popular destination wedding resorts include Dreams Resorts, Secrets Resorts, Hyatt Ziva, Hard Rock Riviera Maya, Majestic Elegance, Royalton Resorts, and Finest Playa Mujeres. The best resort really depends on your guest count, budget, and style preferences.
